                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 1990 FROM 6:30 P.M.
                   TO 8:15 P.M. FOR "THE SCENIC CITY CIVITAN
                   CORPORATE CHALLENGE RACE" SPONSORED BY THE
                   SCENIC CITY CIVITAN CLUB UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the right curb lane of the following streets 

       - Market Street southbound between the Freight Depot and Main
       Street, Main Street westbound between Market Street and 
Riverfront
       Parkway, Riverfront Parkway northbound between Main Street and M. 

       L. King Boulevard, M. L. King Boulevard eastbound between
       Riverfront Parkway and Gateway Avenue/6th Street, Gateway
       Avenue/6th Street northbound and eastbound between M. L. King
       Boulevard and Market Street, Market Street southbound between 6th 

       Street and the Freight Depot on Tuesday, September 18, 1990 from
       6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for the presentation of "The Scenic City
       Civitan Corporate Challenge Race" under the sponsorship of the
       Scenic City Civitan Club provided that the sponsor shall set out
       traffic cones, flasher barricades, and warning signs in 
accordance
       with the traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide,
       at all times, an access lane for fire and other emergency
       vehicles.
